History

In San Salvador was founded La Cámara de Representantes (before named Asociación de Representantes de Casas Extranjeras) was authorized by the republic Government in executive agreement No.1644, issued on July 1, 1953, by El Diario Oficial No 63, Tome No. 160 of September 8, 1953.

Its statutes were reformed by Executive Agreement No. 1685 since September 6, 1960 and published in El Diario Oficial No.27, Tome No.190 of January 31, 1961, Changing its name by CÁMARA DE REPRESENTANTES COMERCIALES DE EL SALVADOR, a salvadorean apolitical entity, nonprofit neither religious to serve its members.

Our Objetives are:

  • Respect and defend the legitimate interests of its members.
  • Promote good relations between its members.
  • Be represented in government agencies that require the collaboration of our organization.
  • Help the members giving them technical and legal assistance to their problems.
  • Manage the enactment of laws, regulations and provisions as may be necessary to best fulfill their essential function of exporters of services in his capacity as representatives of foreign companies not domiciled neither resident in El Salvador.

February 7, 1984, Diario Oficial No. 27, Tome 282, the Legislative Assembly of El Salvador, issued the No. 37 Decree saying:

  • Sales Representatives that have made a valuable contribution to economic activity in the country decrees: Article 1 - is declared on July 1 each year, Day of the Salvadorean Trade Representative. Which we have been celebrating every year as a solemn celebration.

On June 9, 1995 La Cámara buys 1 own local of the building "D" condominium Montemaria, in this city.
